RESEARCH INITIATIVE
Enhancing climate adaptation in transport: insights and simulations of weather impacts on travel behaviour and daily activity patterns
about the project
The aim is to understand how Climate Change impacts transport and how adaptation can be achieved. Research focuses on how weather conditions and people’s attitudes influence travel choices and daily activities in cities. The insights will support simulations of mobility patterns under future climate change scenarios, serving as a cornerstone for the development of an adaptation policy roadmap.

Objectives

To investigate the extent to which weather conditions and individuals’ attitudes towards these conditions influence travel behaviour and daily activity patterns

To simulate changes in travel behaviour and daily activity patterns in urban contexts in response to future climate change scenarios.

To evaluate the simulations of changes in travel behaviour and daily activity patterns for the development of an adaptation policy roadmap.
